I understand the feeling.

I understand the desperation.

I understand the frustration.

But, that doesn't justify diving into marriage without a clear intention or a cause.

You wouldn't buy a smartphone without thinking it through, because you value your money.

So, why would you simply opt for marriage without thinking it through? Don't you value your life?

I know the comparison between smartphone and money is kind of funny (might be offensive to some people), but I do believe the concept underneath it is the same.

This the concept:

If you value something enough, then you wouldn't just invest in it willy nilly.

You would take the time and the resources needed to iron out the necessary details to increase the probability of making the right decision.

Marriage is an asset, if done right. If not, it's a liability.

What's the difference?

An asset is something that increases in value over time. A liability is the opposite, it decreases in value over time.

A marriage done right is a partnership that grows every individual in the relationship and both are moving towards a meaningful shared goal. In that sense, that marriage is an asset.

Over time, it increases the value of a person's life in terms of growth and overall wellbeing.

How to make sure the marriage is going to be an asset, before you are married?

I'm gonna be honest: There is no guarantee. I'm sorry. Nobody can give you a magic pill that will guarantee your marriage will become an asset.

But, you can increase the probability that it would become an asset.

By having the right intention and utilizing the right method, you can increase the chances of the marriage you build to be an asset.

How to have the right intention and the right method?

You need the 4 marriage cores:

Principles: This is your life GPS where you can rely on to make sure you never go astray. In short, this is the main reference point you refer to for any decision in life, big or small.
Intention: The principles you have will help you shape the intention for anything you do, like marriage. It is the main goal that moves you.
Preparation: Once you are clear about where you are going, then you know what you need to prepare to get there. You need to have the necessary resources to be able to make the journey.
Solemnization: Going there alone is fine, but going there with a partner is a different experience. You can definitely grow alone, but we all know that you can 10x the growth if you do it with someone, as long as that someone shares the same principles as you (going back to the main core).
